The development teams at Ubisoft that are working on Assassin’s Creed Rogue are ready to deliver a new walkthrough for the incoming title, which is designed to show off the core gameplay of the series both on land and at sea.

Gamers who pick up the new title will be able to play as Shay Cormac, an Assassin who has been forced to turn on his brethren in order to become a Templar and hunt down his old friends because he feels he has been betrayed.

The new ship that players will be able to control is called the Morrigan, and the footage shows gamers how they will be able to use it in order to evade enemies or how they can get up close to them before unleashing powerful attacks.

On the high seas, Assassin’s Creed Rogue will feature the ability to drop barrels of oil that can be lit in order to destroy ships, and the ship can also be upgraded with proto-machine guns that make it more powerful than it initially appears.

In the new title, enemy ships can now board the gamer’s vessel and that means skill and patience will be required in order to repel their attacks and keep the rest of the crew safe.

On land, Ubisoft has promised that Assassin’s Creed Rogue will deliver the same core mechanics that have powered the series since it was introduced.

Parkour will be easy to enable and the new Templar will have access to a special new air rifle, which can be used to take out enemies at a distance stealthily, and to the option to distract them using a variety of grenades.

The new title will take place across North America and will allow players to navigate across the North Atlantic, with icebergs and ice flows introduced in order to make the navigation more interesting and challenging.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue will be launched on November 11 of this year on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

Before that, gamers who love the series will be able to pick up the more high-profile Assassin’s Creed Unity, which will be offered on the PC, the PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One and is designed to take place in Paris and push forward the core narrative of the series.

The two games will have some story links near the end of the Assassin’s Creed Rogue campaign, but Ubisoft has not said exactly what they consist of.
