Assassin's Creed Rogue is Ubisoft's offering to those who own a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 computer entertainment system, meant to appease players who won't be able to play Assassin's Creed Unity, the company's first next-gen title in the series.

Like its predecessor Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Rogue will allow gamers to sail the open seas and enact their pirate fantasies, engaging in maritime battles and spearing Narwhals.

Some of the features of the upcoming action adventure title have been captured in the screenshot gallery below, offering a sort of tour of the game's attractions, mixed with some pretty good-looking artwork and a couple of packshots.

Additionally, in case you missed the videos that developer and publisher Ubisoft released for Gamescom 2014, you can see one depicting life with the sea as your mistress, followed by some land action below.

Unlike Assassin's Creed Unity, Assassin's Creed Rogue is a single-player only affair, starring a Templar named Shay Patrick Cormac, an assassin who turns against the Brotherhood and becomes an assassin hunter.

Assassin's Creed Rogue is currently set to appear on November 11, for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles, while its big brother, Assassin's Creed Unity, is scheduled to come out on October 28, for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
