Video game publisher Ubisoft has been heavily promoting the launch of Assassin’s Creed: Unity, the open world title set to be launched in the fall, but the company has kept quiet about the companion title for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, which is supposed to also be launched before the end of the year.

Now a Swiss retailer has listed a new title called Assassin’s Creed: Rogue, which is set to arrive on last-gen consoles and might be the full version of the prototype that the company initially called Comet.

The page has been removed from the site, but AllGamesBeta has managed to preserve an image of it.

Ubisoft has not yet offered any sort of comment on the issue, and it is unlikely that the company will react in any way to the retailer leak.

At the same time, the fact that Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is revealed might force the publisher to move faster in order to put together an official announcement with more details for fans of the franchise.

Rumors that appeared earlier in 2014 stated that Comet was supposed to allow gamers to become a Templar named Shay, who was supposed to move across New York at some point in the XVIII century, and would involve some trips across the Atlantic on a variety of ships.

Rumors said that the core mechanics would mix elements from Assassin’s Creed 3 and from the Free Cry downloadable content for Black Flag.

Rogue is designed to appeal to those Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 gamers who at the moment do not have any plans to move to next-gen devices, and a port of the game to other devices is unlikely.

Ubisoft has been focusing heavily on Assassin’s Creed: Unity in the last few months because the game, which will arrive only on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony, introduces improved gameplay and visuals.

The title will take gamers to the city of Paris just as the French Revolution is breaking out and will allow him to experience some of the pivotal moments of the struggle against monarchy.

The main characters will quickly discover that things are not what they seem and will seek to discover the truth about the aims of the revolution.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity will be launched on October 28 of this year, and Rogue will probably be delivered a few weeks later.
