Assassin's Creed Rogue is Ubisoft's surprise offering to owners of last-generation home consoles, a sort of peace offer to the series' fans that won't be able to play the next-gen exclusive Assassin's Creed Unity, and the game was heavily featured during PAX Prime.

With many gamers curious about the upcoming action adventure title, Game Producer Ivan Balabanov decided to offer fans more information via the official Assassin's Creed Twitter account.

Assassin's Creed Unity and Assassin's Creed Rogue will complement each other's storylines, being part of the same universe and also connected in some yet undisclosed ways.

He shared that the protagonist, Assassin gone Templar Shay Cormac, would have a whole variety of different outfits, however his armor would not be the one that Edward finds in AC4, simply similar in style, and that he would be exposed to first civilization artifacts just like the previous protagonists.

Shay is not part of Desmond's ancestry, and he is neither a hero nor a villain, and his story will show that he is a dark and powerful anti-hero kind of character, and the development team says that they had a lot of fun creating him.

The majority of the side mission in Assassin's Creed Rogue are related to the experience of being a Templar, following Shay hunting down various assassins, and there will also be some missions related to the Seven Years War.

The game contains many new weapons, and will take players on a journey across the North American wilderness, the North Atlantic and New York City, with some yet undisclosed historical figures from Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag making a surprise return.

The sea battles will be expanded with a lot of new features, such as burning oil, reverse boarding and a puckle gun, but there won't be any underwater diving.

The story in Rogue attempts to explain what happens between AC3 and AC4, and why Connor has to rebuild the Assassins, and attempting to portray a convincing evolution from Assassin to Templar for Shay, and there will also be a modern-day side-story, but the developer did not reveal anything more on the matter.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag's nautical battles managed to garner a lot of praise from fans, and the upcoming Assassin's Creed Rogue packs plenty of naval action too, so fans should have a blast when the action adventure title lands on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, on November 11 in North America and November 13 everywhere else.
