The upcoming Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the new game in the series from Ubisoft, won't answer every question about its main protagonist Desmond, as it will mostly focus on Altair and Ezio, two of his ancestors which starred in the first and the last two games, respectively.

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed series delighted fans all around the world with its top-notch gameplay, but most of all with its intricate story centering around conspiracies and the long-running conflict between assassins and the Templar knights, with Desmond, a present-day assassin, needing to explore the memories of his ancestors for hints to take down the evil knights.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is set to answer quite a lot of the questions that have appeared over the years in the series, while closing its newest chapter that focused on Italian assassin Ezio Auditore, in the second and third games in the franchise.

Fans shouldn't expect to learn more of Desmond, however, as lead writer Darby McDevitt confirmed to CVG that most of the focus will be on Ezio and his ancestor, Altair.

"Well, we wont answer everything because Desmond's story continues. But fans will definitely know most of the important details of Ezio and Altair's lives, and how they fit into the grand scheme," he said.

The Ubisoft man also addressed how the game will handle the aging Ezio, who is now 52 years old, quite impressive for a man who lived during the Renaissance.

"52 is a good age," McDevitt said, "but one must remember that Ezio and Altair are rather special people. Also, although 52 was old in the 1500s, it wasn't uncommon for people to live for quite a long time. Suleimon the Magnificent lived to around 70, and one Janissary [Sultan's bodyguard] that we found lived to be 104."

The writer declined to reveal more about Ezio's fate, but hinted that players are going to explore quite a lot of interesting things when the game is released later this year, on November 15, for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
