Apple has named "Assassin's Creed Pirates" the Free App of the Week. The high seas adventure for iPhone and iPad went down from $4.99 to Zero for a whole week.

The App created and published by Ubisoft is described as a venture into the Assassin's Creed story. However, it is rated 12+ so make sure to follow that before giving it to your kids. The developer also warns that the game is optimized for iPhone 5 or later, so it may not work properly on iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s.

The gameplay is pretty straight forward. As a player, you can become a pirate of the Caribbean and play as Alonzo Batilla, a young and ambitious captain that wants to win every battle.

You can start by building your ship and making sure the crew is following your orders. After that, you can engage in naval combat. You can surely choose from a wide range of weapons to destroy your enemies.

The 3D game has some amazing graphics and you will be able to enjoy the advancement in technology by following weather conditions like huge storms and fog, but you can also sail and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

The developers have built over 50 stories and side missions into the game, so you will have hours of play time. Here's the official trailer coming from Ubisoft and a game play description from a YouTube user.
