The development team at Ubisoft working on Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is delivering a new trailer for the coming title, designed to offer information on the historical influences for the game and on how the phenomenon of piracy will be approached.

The official description reads, "In the Caribbean, desperate sailors with ideals of true freedom assemble to establish the Republic of Pirates. But far from idyllic, their life is brutal, filled with betrayal and debauchery. Here at last are their true stories."

Assassin's Creed IV will expand on the naval combat mechanics of the previous game in the series and players will also be able to explore cities and engage in the traditional gameplay of the series.

Black Flag is set to be launched on October 29 in North America and November 1 in Europe on the PC, current-gen consoles, the Wii U from Nintendo and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.
