The development team at Ubisoft working on Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is delivering a new gameplay video for the title, designed to show off pirate specific mechanics with a focus on exploration.

Ashraf Ismail, the game director working on the new title, offers expert commentary and explains some of the core mechanics that players will have to become familiar with.

The team says, "On the voyage to Havana with your ship The Jackdaw, learn the rules that Edward and his crew live by, and how they defy the empires of the 18th Century."

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will focus on naval battles and exploration, but gamers will have plenty of occasions to explore the cities of the Caribbean.

The game will be launched on October 29 in the United States and November 1 in Europe.

Versions are planned for the PC, current and next-gen consoles.
