Ubisoft just put the official launch trailer out for their just released Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag all-new single-player DLC, titled Freedom Cry.

The downloadable content will expand on the already thrilling Black Flag experience with nine new single-player missions set in an alternate timeline, taking place 15 years later than the original Assassin's Creed IV events.

The new missions will follow the development of Adewale, Edward Kenway's first mate. After finding freedom from slavery and building a new life aboard the Jackdaw, he sets out to face his origins and free the slaves.

The story of Freedom Cry takes place in 18th century Tahiti, after Adewale has left his pirate life behind and has become an illustrious member of the brotherhood. He will take his new crew on a quest to deliver merciless justice to the plantations, killing slavers and freeing the oppressed.

His arsenal will benefit from new weapons, such as a machete and a blunderbuss, and he will eventually take the fight to the seas, commanding the fearsome Experto Crede brig in his mission to save the Caribbean from enslavement.

As Adewale himself puts it, “I will show them how to fight, to bring hope back into their hearts. They will rise up and for years to come the world will remember the cry for freedom.”

Freedom Cry is also part of the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Season Pass, as AGB mentions.

The Season Pass is available now and includes Freedom Cry as well as the exclusive Kraken Ship Pack, new single-player missions, weapons, skins, and collectibles, including the Blackbeard's Wrath add-on and additional upcoming new multiplayer characters.

The downloadable content will be available on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 starting December 18, and for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC starting December 17.
