Despite the fact that Ubisoft has launched a full marketing blitz linked to Assassin’s Creed 3, one of the leading developers involved with it believes that gamers still have much to learn about the game and will even be surprised when they first get their hands on it.

Alex Hutchinson, the game director working on Assassin’s Creed III, tells ZoomIn.tv that, “We’ve got a lot of secrets still, especially at the start of the game. There’s a couple of hours at the start of the game that we haven’t spoken about, that no one has seen, and I think you’re going to be really surprised – especially fans of the game and people looking for a strong story.”

Ubisoft has already revealed that the first hours of the game will be focused on childhood of main character Connor and will probably include at least one traumatic event that influences his actions later during the game.

Assassin’s Creed III will cover a 30-year time span in the life of Connor, from 1753 to 1783, and the character will meet a number of well-known historical figures, like George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Israel Putnam, Paul Revere, General Lafayette, John Pitcairn, William Prescott, Samuel Adams and King George III.

The game will also include plenty of sequences that star Desmond and near future setting where the story originated.

Ubisoft has said that the game will answer all the questions that the franchise has thrown up until now, although it is likely that the game will leave some space open for the franchise to continue.

Assassin’s Creed III will be launched on October 30 in North America and one day later in Europe on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, and the PC version of the game will be introduced later during November.
