After quite a few images with the upcoming Assassin’s Creed III title appeared on the web, either officially from Ubisoft or leaked through unofficial channels, the first actual in-game screenshots have now surfaced.

Assassin’s Creed III is set to introduce a variety of changes to the series, from the new protagonist and story, to new control inputs and a more vibrant visual design.

We’ve already seen the new hero, Connor, in action thanks to videos and promotional images, but now the first in-game screenshots have been released on the web.

As you can see, the interface has been redesigned, with players no longer being forced to keep an eye on all four corners of the screen.

What’s more, the images show off one of the many huge battles that will be a part of Assassin’s Creed 3, between the American colonists and the British Imperial forces.

Connor is seen actively walking the battlefield and he even engages in a few fights with some unlucky British forces.

Check out all the screenshots below, via All Games Beta, and get ready for the game’s release at the end of October.
