It seems that Assassin’s Creed franchise has had quite a lot of success, especially in the UK, as the games have sold more than 6.6 million units.

Ubisoft decided to reveal the incredible numbers to the public as to help boost the popularity of next month’s launch of its latest addition, the “Black Flag.”

For those that do not know, Black Flag is the sixth entry in the series and the developers are preparing for  a big marketing campaign to support its launch.

They have planned to have the usual TV, online and print campaigns but have also opted for a major tour of 20 UK universities. It seems that Ubisoft is serious in making this latest installment a success.

For interested players, Black Flag launches November 1 on Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3 and will launch alongside Xbox One and PS4.

In an interview with MCV, Ubisoft’s UK brand manager Omebline Wallon said “This year the anticipation is high, especially with the game coming on PS4 and Xbox One. Consumers are very excited about what the new consoles have to offer.”
