Concept artwork from a project called Assassin's Creed: Duel has appeared online, showing what a fighting game set in the long-running franchise might look like.

The Assassin's Creed series has received different core iterations in the series every year since 2009 and even a few spinoffs such as the PS Vita-exclusive Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation.

Now, the portfolio website of former Ubisoft interface designer Benoit Perreault has posted a bunch of special images that depict a concept called Assassin's Creed Duel.

The title is a fighting game that features different characters from the franchise, including protagonists like Altair or Ezio, but also villains or non-playable characters.

What's more, the roster seen below has different unlockable fighters from other Ubisoft franchises, from Splinter Cell's Sam Fisher, to Rayman, a Raving Rabbid, or Jade from Beyond Good & Evil.

Perreault mentioned on this website that these images were purely concept art and weren't a part of an actual game.
