Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood will receive a brand new add-on, in the form of the Da Vinci Disappearance, which brings new single-player and multiplayer features to the extremely popular title.

Ubisoft revealed, at the beginning of the week, that its Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood game sold over 6.5 million copies, so it has now decided to indulge owners of the title with a brand new downloadable content pack.

Unlike the free ones released up until now, which mostly targeted the game's multiplayer mode, the Da Vinci Disappearance DLC will also add new single-player adventures for the game's main character, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who must track down, like the title suggests, his good friend Leonardo Da Vinci.

"After the fall of the Borgias in Rome, Leonardo Da Vinci is kidnapped by the Hermeticists, an underground cult dedicated to transforming mankind," Ubisoft revealed.

"Ezio will embark on a relentless quest to recover stolen paintings in order to find Leo before it is too late, discovering two new locations and two new gameplay features along the way."

Besides the single-player adventure, the new DLC will also add features to the multiplayer mode, including a new map, four new characters and two new game modes.

The new map is called Alhambra, which is "a lush environment set in Spain's Albaicin of Granada" with plenty of "multileveled indoor and outdoor areas perfect for predators to lurk in the dense crowd for unsuspecting targets."

Four new characters join the roster of Brotherhood's multiplayer: Dama Rossa, the Knight, the Marquis and the Pariah.

The first new multiplayer mode is called Escort, and pits two teams of four players one against another, each with their own VIP character, who must protect their own VIP while trying to eliminate the one from the rival team.

The second mode, Assassinate, is basically a free-for-all deathmatch, in which six to eight players are pitted one against another in ten-minute rounds.

Last but not least, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's the Da Vinci Disappearance will include ten new achievements and trophies.

The DLC will cost 800 Microsoft Points, on the Xbox Live Marketplace, and $10 on the PlayStation Network.
