The development team at Ubisoft working on the Assassin's Creed series announces that it is working on a Birth of a New World  The American Saga collection of video games, which is set to be launched on the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PC on October 28 of this year.

The special package will allow gamers to play through Assassin's Creed III, the High Definition version of Liberation, and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

The compilation has been rumored for some time but Ubisoft has chosen to make an official announcement about it on the blog in order to make it clear what kind of content gamers will get access to.

The team states that the three games will do a great job of showing gamers how the franchise has portrayed life in the American Colonies over time and will give them a chance to experience the core story elements that are linked to the two new titles in the series that are arriving this fall.

A tale of three Assassins

Assassin's Creed: Birth of a New World – The American Saga will start off with the player as Connor, a warrior who was born to a Native American mother and a British father.

Ubisoft states, "As the colonies draw closer to revolution, you will dedicate your life to the freedom of your clan, becoming the spark that ignites the revolution into a full blaze. Your crusade will lead you through blood-soaked battlefields and crowded city streets, to the perilous wilderness and stormy seas. You will not only witness history…you will make it."

Liberation will shift the focus to Aveline, a capable female Assassin in 1765, as she is fighting against Spanish forces in Louisiana using an array of new items and powers.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is the best title in the new Birth of a New World –The American Saga series, with players able to become Edward Kenway, a captain who is drawn in the conflict between the Templars and the Assassins as he continues to use his ship to plunder the high seas.

Preparing for bigger releases

Ubisoft is not saying whether the games have received any sort of graphical or mechanics upgrades for the new release or whether gamers will be able to get them as they were first launched.

Later in the fall, gamers will get access to both Assassin's Creed: Unity, which will take players to Paris, and to Rogue, which will only be offered on last-gen consoles.
