Ubisoft confirmed that it had delayed the Freedom's Cry DLC for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag on the PC platform, as the add-on needed some extra polish before its debut.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag impressed many gamers last month when it came out for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One, or Wii U.

Now, Ubisoft launched Freedom's Cry, the first story-based add-on for the game, which saw players take control of Adewale, Edward Kenway's second in command.

The DLC is already live on current and next-gen consoles, but the PC edition has yet to launch.

According to Ubisoft, that version of Freedom's Cry is still in the polishing phase, as the studio decided to delay it for a few days until it's ready to debut.

Unfortunately, no concrete date was given so it's unclear when PC owners of Black Flag will get Freedom's Cry.
