Ubisoft has just revealed a brand new multiplayer event for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag across all of the game's platforms, in the form of the Flying Dutchman, which promotes a new Artifact Assault online mode.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is currently available across many different platforms, from PC, to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U.

After the first multiplayer challenge that took place at the beginning of the month, Ubisoft has now confirmed a brand new online event, in the form of the Flying Dutchman.

The new multiplayer operation kicks off tomorrow, November 29, and lasts until Sunday, December 1. It focuses on a new Artifact Assault mode and comes with an impressive set of objectives that need to be completed in order to unlock personal and public rewards.

"In this event, Artifact Assault mode will deactivate melee kills, so your only way to kill will be to take aim with the deadly pistol. Team play is mandatory to deliver the artifact to your base, so strategize to support your carrier using Sabotage, and prevent your enemies from using their ranged Pistol attacks," Ubisoft said about the new mode on the PS blog.

"Remember that abilities’ cooldown will be very short and chase breakers will be deactivated, so carrying an Artifact will be much harder. As a carrier, you won’t be able to escape the whole opponent team so anticipate your path and rely on your teammates to protect you."
