Alliance and other such game types won't make a comeback

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag won't receive any new multiplayer modes that focus on two-player teams, like the previous Alliance experience in Brotherhood.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag appeared in the last few weeks across many platforms, namely the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U.

Across all these devices, the game delivered a great single-player campaign but also a fresh multiplayer experience that brought back successful game types, like Wolfpack, but also added new ones, like the Game Lab system.

According to Ubisoft's Tim Browne, one game mode that isn't making a comeback is Alliance, as the studio has no "plans to bring back modes that use teams of 2 currently."

As such, those who prefer to team up with just another player and go on the hunt online should just stick with the other modes, like Wolfpack.
