After the official reveal of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, the torrent of details from publisher Ubisoft continues and information offered by the company states that at least 40 percent of the coming game will consist of naval-based battles.

An internal Ubisoft design document quoted by PC Gamer states, “Mission wise, land missions will represent approximately 60% of the game and naval ones 40%. But if you take the global experience that players will leave with ACIVBF we’re more talking about 50-50.”

Jean Guesdon, the creative director working on Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is the source of the information.

The game is still in development, so the balance might change before launch.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will focus on the life of Conor’s grandfather and the game promises more information about the game universe and unique, new mechanics.
