The mechanic was missing from the third title in the franchise

One of the biggest complaints about Assassin’s Creed III is that the game failed to live up to the stealth legacy of the series, and the development team at Ubisoft wants to remedy the situation in the upcoming Black Flag.

Jean Guesdon, the creative director working on the game, tells AllGamesBeta that “We are putting a lot of effort to improve that pillar of the franchise. Being a pirate was also about taking places by surprise, and this would require stealth abilities.”

Even exploring the various islands of the Caribbean will involve stealth elements, and the abilities of the players will be tested when they infiltrate enemy areas and tail important characters.

The first Assassin’s Creed game was very stealth-oriented, but following titles added more mechanics that allowed gamers to battle enemies head-to-head.
