Ubisoft chose to unveil the first trailer for its upcoming Tyranny of King Washington expansion for Assassin's Creed 3, showing off the basic premise of the add-on that casts George Washington, the first president of the U.S., as a tyrant that chooses to rule over the country.

Assassin's Creed 3 came out at the end of October on consoles and last month on the PC and Wii U.

Now, Ubisoft is working hard on an expansion for the game called the Tyranny of King Washington, which has just received an actual trailer at the 2012 Video Game Awards over the weekend.

In case you forgot, the add-on has a unique premise that casts George Washington, one of the emblematic figures of the American Revolution, as a tyrant who uses the power of the Piece of Eden to enslave the colonies under his rule.

As such, it's up to Connor, the hero of the main story, to stop him from consolidating his rule over the future United States of America.
