Ubisoft have just made their biggest announcement this year, confirming the Gold status for Assassin's Creed, the company's upcoming title that combines stealth features with action-adventure genre attributes. The BBFC has given Altair's means of dealing with his enemies a 15 rating, while Ubisoft has dated the much awaited title for a November 16th release on next-gen
systems PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Assassin's Creed is a next-gen stealth third-person action title developed by Ubisoft Montreal. The game merges technology, game design, theme, and emotions into a world where you instigate chaos and become a vulnerable, yet powerful, agent of change. The setting is 1191 AD. The Third Crusade is tearing the Holy Land apart. The player, Altair, is faced with stopping the hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict.

According to Jade Raymond, the Executive Producer of Assassin's Creed, you'll basically be eradicating corruption in the line of high-ranked personalities throughout Jerusalim, Damasc and Acre.

"We've been working very hard for nearly four years to make Assassin's Creed a reality and now there is a confirmed date when players will get to experience the results of our efforts", Jade Raymond said. "This is a huge event for the team. Our biggest reward will be everyone having a lot of good solid fun."

Jade is set to make a special appearance at HMV's flagship store on Oxford Street, as part of London Games Festival, this Saturday, October 27. New levels from Assasin's Creed will be presented at the event. Jade will meet and answer questions from the public and also sign merchandise available for the game, according to an older report.

Endless interviews, countless developer's diaries, the rolling out of new screenshots and gameplay details just so you can make an idea of what Assassin's Creed will be like, all that is now over. Ubisoft has finally confirmed the game's Gold status, which means that the game has shipped to manufacturing plants. From here on, it's the trip to retailers all around the world and eventually into your trembling hands on the 16th of November. Stay tuned for any possible updates.
