Assassin's Creed was one of the most innovative games of 2007, showcasing a unique type of stealth gameplay in which you played an ancient assassin during the Crusades at the beginning of the 1100s in the Middle East. But, sadly, what it gained with scenery and innovation it lost with the repetitive missions and the somewhat stupid deaths.

We've already heard Ubisoft announce its sequel and, thanks to the teaser campaign created by the company, we’ve received confirmation that the game will be set in Italy during the 1400s, with the player wearing the hooded cape of Ezio, a nobleman of Florence who was betrayed by the influential families that were ruling the country at that time.

Now, Ubisoft has decided to reveal a second trailer with a few tidbits of information about the story of the game, emphasizing the importance that the famous inventor Leonardo Da Vinci will have in the title, and saying that history during the Renaissance was written in blood.

At the end of the video, the familiar eagle sound that played in specific moments in the first game is heard, hinting that Ezio is a descendant of Altair, who was the protagonist of the original Assassin's Creed. Hopefully, more details about his quest for vengeance will be revealed soon.

“Our creative team is working hard to top the experience of Assassin's Creed,” said Patrice Desilets, creative director at Ubisoft. “We've made improvements to every aspect of the game. We've plunged ourselves into the stunning history of the Italian Renaissance so that we can offer fans a unique, varied and innovative Assassin's Creed experience.”

Here is the second teaser trailer, which gives us a few glimpses into the story of the game, courtesy of GameTrailers.
