Asphalt Urban GT is a racing video game for the Nintendo DS and the Nokia N-Gage handheld consoles. It was developed by Gameloft and published by Ubisoft and released on November 21, 2004, making it one of the DS launch titles. It has support for wireless multiplayer with up to four opponents and takes advantage of the DS' support for 3D graphics (while showing unacelerated N-Gage's power to match DS's graphics), showing the action from three camera angles. Replays are also available. The bottom screen of the DS is used to provide strategic tips and player information. The game sports nine tracks modeled after real-world locations such as Paris and New York City.

The game's 23 cars are licensed from real manufacturers such as Lamborghini, Hummer, Volkswagen and others, and can be enhanced with over 30 add-ons.

HINTS

Fill turbo bar quicker

Drive into various items on the roadside (for example, boxes, phone booths, and road signs).

Quick start

To get a quick and easy lead over everybody, use your turbo as soon as the race starts. Turbo can be easily obtained simply by hitting objects (trash cans, benches, etc.).

Fastest car

Buy an Aston Martin Vanquish then add all upgrades to the car. It will have a top speed of 249 mph.

Car with the fastest acceleration

Buy a Saleen S7. Buy all upgrades available for the car. It will now go from 0 to 60 mph in less than two seconds. When in a race, use NOS as soon as "Go" appears to drive even faster.

Sharper turns

You may encounter some hard turns in the road. Hold Y for about three seconds and you will begin skidding around the corner. If you hit something, nitro-out of there.

Less traffic

To avoid the traffic, press Y and the cars will disappear. Note: This will not work if you are very close to the car. Do this when farther away. For example, just when going on a bridge, press Y(4) and look. Most of the cars should be gone.
