Asphalt 8: Airborne is one of the most exciting games for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, so today Gameloft rolled out a brand new update for the millions of fans playing it every day.

Also available on Windows Phone, this new version of the game comes with several new cars, including “the unique 2014 McLaren P1, along with the iconic Ferrari Testarossa, the powerful Dodge Challenger and the mighty 2014 Ford F-150,” as the release notes provided to us this morning read.

At the same time, it also comes with 6 new tracks based in Asia that will allow you to compete around the Great Wall with any of the cars you unlock.

The feature lineup remains unchanged and the game still works on both desktops and tablets running Windows 8.1, including Microsoft's very own Surface RT that employs Windows RT.

Keep in mind, however, that the game requires at least 2GB of RAM and DirectX 11, so it might be a little bit more difficult to play it on low-end tablets.

Overall, there's no doubt that this update is great news for lots of users out there who were already playing the game, so you can download Asphalt 8: Airborne for Windows 8.1 right now, as it's still offered completely free of charge in the Windows Store.
