Android gamers rejoice, as Gameloft has just announced that Asphalt 8: Airborne is now available for free via Google Play Store. The game was previously priced at $0.99 / €0.8, but those who like racing games will now be able to get it free of charge.

Aside from that, developers have announced that the game has received a small update, which includes support for more devices, but no additional details have been disclosed yet.

Gameloft has also confirmed that the coloring issue on Samsung Galaxy S III LTE has been fixed, along with other bugs that have been found in the previous version.

In the same piece of news, Gameloft is expected to deliver a major update for Asphalt 8: Airborne for Android, which will include a Limited Time Cups, a new Clio R.S. car and new boosters.

You can now download Asphalt 8: Airborne for Android for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the game should be fully compatible with most devices running Android 4.0 and up.
