Mid-December means without a doubt that time of the year when the industry draws a line and comes up with best and worst lists for everything. Normally, in film, we have charts of best actors and worst performances, as well as tops with the hottest productions of the year. AskMen is also presenting now a top 10 of the hottest aliens ever brought on screen, whether big or small.

Aliens, the men’s lifestyle magazine says, have always been featured in films and, in most cases, if they happen to be female, they’re also highly attractive. In recent years, for instance, the more vicious they were, the better looking, as was the case of Serleena in “Men in Black II,” portrayed by the gorgeous Lara Flynn Boyle, who ranks in at number 5 in the final countdown.

“Since man’s creation, he has wondered if he is alone in this vast dark universe. Some believe the age-old question has been answered and kept in hiding. Others believe it may never be answered. All societies, old and new, have their own way of pondering the possibility of other beings. One thing is for sure: If we do ever find extraterrestrial life, we are going to be very disappointed. There is a very slim chance that real aliens will look like how they are portrayed in Hollywood. […] This trend goes back to Hollywood’s roots. Nothing goes better with a sci-fi plot than a beautiful girl dressed as an alien,” AskMen says of the final top 10 chart.

In all fairness, the aliens featured in it are nothing short of breathtaking – granted the Serleena example was not enough to convince you. Number Six of “Battlestar Galactica,” played by Tricia Helfer comes up next at number 4, followed by the adorable yet incredibly hot Leeloo of “The Fifth Element,” as portrayed by Milla Jovovich. The top two positions go to Natasha Henstridge as Sil in the “Species” films at number 2 and Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine from “Star Trek: Voyager” at the top spot.

“Give an A+ to the costume designers in the future. The tight gray suit assigned to Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) makes her body jump out of this world and into every man’s memory bank. If we could put her in two spots on this list, we would. She’d occupy one spot for her dominating appearance in the series, and another for her as a Borg Drone. Even with the nasty skin and the huge metal contraption sticking out her eye, she’s still a top 10. And we most definitely have a soft spot for her cybernetic implants,” AskMen says of the number one female alien in the chart.
