A group of Tulsa investors have announced the release of their AskMeTellMe application for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, advising iOS device owners to download the free app and start asking their friends for answers, rather than Google.

The advice sounds strange, to say the least, but the Tulsans explain that this national iPhone application was actually born out of frustrations with Google and other popular internet search engines.

“The new app, which is driven by each user’s individual social network, brings the human element back to decision making in today’s internet-dominated world,” according to their official report published earlier this week.

“Who are you going to trust to find a good babysitter – Google or your friends?” says Toby Biolchini, one of the people behind the iPhone app.

Upon installation, the app prompts users to link to their Facebook and Twitter accounts so that they can simultaneously ask questions to both networks and get answers from actual people, rather than the algorithms behind Google.

“AskMeTellMe pushes all answers directly to the app on the user’s iPhone, eliminating the need to check both profiles and wade through distracting photos and status updates,” the report explains.

“You can now ask all of the people you know and trust for answers that Google doesn’t know. Users of the app appreciate the quality control it provides,” the Tulsa investors believe.

Toby Biolchini added: “AskMeTellMe cuts through all the frivolous social media chatter and gives you relevant, trustworthy recommendations from people you trust on a single platform.”

Ask Me Tell Me (the company) is currently developing a range of other features for the app with the promise that customers will be able to connect with their local businesses.

The group of people that actually coded the app is called Carpe Consillium,
