Asian Linux distribution for the enterprise users

Asianux 3.0, the newest version of the enterprise Linux distribution developed jointly by the Chinese Red Flag Linux company, Japan's Miracle Linux and Korea's Haansoft has been released today.

This new edition will bring enhanced compatibility, security and ease-of-use along with increased reliability. It meets the increasing requirements of the Linux operating system in business applications and offers an open IT platform to the users.

The companies that participate in the development share the Unique "4 Co" business model (Co-Development, Co-Brand, Co-Marketing and Co-Support). They consider that by using this model, Asianux will bring more value to enterprise users.

Some of the most important features included in Asianux 3.0 are:

■ Support for various hardware platform including IA32, X86-64, IA64, and IBM p-Series.

■ Support for the latest technology of Intel 32/64 bits Quad-core processor and chipset, AMD Barcelona Processor, IBM OpenPower.

■ Full implementation of the major hundreds of features of CGL3.2 make Asianux Server 3 an idea platform for Carrier applications.

■ Redcastle, the new and unique kernel level security function, which is totally different from SELinux and aims to get CC EAL4 level global certification, fulfill Asia government and enterprise requirements of high OS security architecture.

■ Integrate OpenDrim, the first co-developed open source project sponsored by CJK (China, Japan and Korea) governments which provides a standard based, distributed resource management environment for Linux, greatly simplify the tough work of system administrator.

■ First distribution supporting EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface) on both IA32 and IA64 platform in the world.

■ As a solid base of enterprise information system, Asianux Server 3 will be certified by main software and hardware vendors such as BEA, CA, Dell, EMC, Emulex, HP, IBM, Intel, NEC, Oracle, SAP, Symantec, SWSoft, Virtual Iron, VMWare and so on.
