The aircraft was also flying too low and at insufficient speed

A forensic animator has put together a reconstruction of the deadly Asiana Airlines crash at San Francisco International airport on July 6, 2013.

Jack Suchocki, an ex-pilot with experience flying a Boeing 727 has created two versions of a landing. The blue plane represents how the pilot should have tackled the landing.

You can observe that he descended to the runway too quickly and smashed into the landing strip, having the tail fly off.

The Boeing 777 then went off the runway in a wind of dust and smoke. There was no fire upon impact, but passengers have described the fuselage bursting into flames after the forced landing.

As I documented, three Chinese students died in the crash. One was pronounced dead at the spot, a second one was run over by a fire truck at the scene, and a third one died in the hospital.
