Moviefone has released a colorful new poster promoting Ashton Kutcher’s “Jobs,” the first real biopic to take a jab at the Apple co-founder’s life as he revolutionizes personal computing.

According to the short description accompanying the psychedelic artwork, “The film tells the turbulent story of Jobs, as he blazed a trail that changed technology -- and the way we communicate -- forever.”

The post also includes an official release date in theaters – August 16.

Ashton Kutcher’s “Jobs” debuted at the Sundance Festival to mixed reviews.

Despite an uncanny resemblance between Steve Jobs and the star from Two and a Half Men, some critics have lamented at Kutcher’s performance, while those who are most familiar with the early days of Apple Inc. claim discrepancies between the script and the actual facts.

In addition to Kutcher, who stars as the iconic Steve Jobs, the film also features Josh Gad as Steve Wozniak, the other Apple co-founder and the brains behind the company’s first computer.
