14 DAY TRIAL // It wasn’t just you that was shocked to find out that Mila Kunis was pregnant with Ashton Kutcher’s child, because they too had been taken by surprise by the pregnancy, a report said earlier this week. A source close to the famously private couple is now saying that the arrival of the new addition to their family has been planned.
Mila and Ashton started dating shortly after he separated from Demi Moore after a 6-year marriage. Some reports have said that they might have had a thing as early as during Ashton’s marriage, but they were never confirmed.
They initially kept their romance very low key and, for a few months, even tried to play the “we’re just friends” card, to little success. These past few weeks, news broke that they’re engaged to be married but also expecting their first child together.
They had actually talked about starting a family for a whole year before Mila got pregnant, an insider tells People magazine. “They are both beyond ready to be parents. They've been talking about having children for nearly a year. They are so excited for that next step,” explains the tipster.
So that rumor about how they were “surprised” by the baby news was just that, a rumor. The plan was all along to get married and have a baby, though not necessarily in this order because there’s a chance Mila will want to get married after the baby is born.
Ashton, on the other hand, wants to be married before, another source reveals for the same publication.
“I think they'll be traditional and get married before the baby is born. Ashton wants this marriage and relationship to be perfect. They've been together for a while. This is what they wanted and they will have a beautiful baby. I think they are both ready to be parents. I think they’ll be great parents,” adds the pal.
Meanwhile, Ashton’s ex-wife Demi is said to be in hell. She had no idea that Mila was pregnant but, even so, she was having a very hard time accepting the fact that he would move on so quickly from their failed marriage.
Once she found out about the baby, Demi decided to go abroad on a little vacation and return later, after she’s come to terms with the news and will thus be able to put on a happy face for the paparazzi.
