14 DAY TRIAL // Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have struggled to shield their romance from unwanted media attention since the first day they decided to be more than just friends, but it could be that Ashton just spilled the beans on where they are now in their life: they probably got married in secret sometime in late 2014.
The “Two and a Half Men” star is too coy to say it out loud, but confirmation seems to come from a photo he posted to his Facebook on the first day of the New Year, which he signed with “The Kutchers.”
Ashton and Mila started dating in 2011 and became engaged in 2014.
Love, the Kutchers
You will find the photo Ashton posted below: it’s of a strip of sand on the beach, on which someone, either Mila or Ashton, wrote with a stick, “Happy New Year! <3 the Kutchers.”
Presumably, the two spent the night between the years somewhere nice and warm, working on their tans and most importantly, spending time together as a family: Mila and Ashton welcomed their first child together, daughter Wyatt Isabelle, in 2014.
Because the message is signed “the Kutchers,” consensus is that they must have tied the knot sometime in late 2014 and this is Ashton’s way of breaking the news: just like they “announced” the engagement by posting a selfie of the two, with the sparkler he’d proposed with clearly visible on her hand.
Then again, it could be that whoever wrote “the Kutchers” did it because it was shorter than “Kunis and Kutcher and their daughter” and because they already are a family, even though not legally yet.
A mysterious ring on “that finger”
There are other arguments to consider in favor of the theory that Mila and Ashton might have gotten married in a secret ceremony, starting with her admission some time ago that she would never go public with the news until after the fact.
As per her own words, she would love nothing more than being able to marry the love of her life, Ashton, in an intimate ceremony that would have as witnesses only their family and closest friends. Mila never liked the idea of a “celebrity wedding,” so she didn’t want one for her big day.
Then, right before Christmas, the two were caught on the Kiss Cam at a basketball game, and the entire world got to see that Mila was wearing a much thinner band next to her engagement ring, probably a wedding band. So if the two did get married, they probably did it sometime last month, and Ashton “saved” New Year as the date to break the news.
