For weeks, the media scandal involving Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore and some blonde he reportedly picked up at a bar and slept with has been raging on. It's just now that Ashton is addressing it – without as much as saying a word about it.

Kutcher posted a vlog (video blog) online, in which he speaks about putting literature in print and how hard it once was to do that.

The full video is below, embedded at the end of the article.

Today, thanks to social media and technological advances, he continues, the costs of printing literature have been annulled almost completely, which, in turns, means that everyone can do it.

Not even once does Ashton mention the ongoing media scandal to say that the media is printing lies about him and the state of his 6-year marriage to Demi, but this is the message that he's clearly sending, voices online are saying.

“I started thinking about that in relation to social media and media today,” Ashton says, looking straight into the camera.

“The threshold to have literature printed and distributed – the cost structure went down to zero dollars,” he continues.

“Thereby, there is no gatekeeper of the truth. We are our own editors, and our own publishers. We are our own printers. Therefore people can bastardize the truth in any way, shape or truth they want,” Ashton says.

To prevent this from happening, we need to start being more responsible about the things we say and, just as important, we believe.

“We really have to take it upon ourselves to instill a level of honesty in our works and the media we create and we share with each other,” Ashton says.

“And be certain we are doing our own diligence to ensure what we're saying is for the benefit of another... using our full capacity to share the truth,” he adds.

Check out his message below.

It would have been much simpler if he would have just addressed the obvious question. Did he cheat on his wife or not? What we have instead is a wheelbarrow full of psychobabble. Although if you believe in karma then Demi is being treated by Ashton the way she treated Bruce Willis.

Maybe with today's online technologies people are able to publish /voice their opinions more freely online than ever before. However, as a failed former independent lifestyle magazine publisher, I don't believe he (Ashton) has a firm grasp on print media economics - Especially, if he thinks "anyone" is perfectly able to just print magazines/ mainstream print media should they desire to do so...

Being in the media himself and a high profile role model to many of his younger fans... Surely, he's missed the boat if he doesn't already recognise that it is his own responsibility / up to him to be his own Gate Keeper/Editor/Publisher. That way there can never be any room whatsoever for any ambiguity from the mainstream media and/or anyone else....

But then none of us are 100% perfect either... :)

20 year old idiot WOW you really just believe what you read then believe what I just wrote and get a life. It's awful that people are freaking out on something they don't even know if it has any validity and even if it does it's got nothing to do with us IT"S THEIR LIFE !!!

It's one thing to fantasize about a different life and to imagine ones self in anothers position, people have done that for ever, but to inbed yourself into anothers life to the point where you believe you have the right to judge them is unbelievable. My heart goes out to this couple, so what if they're famous pain is pain and whether this story is true or not it is soaked in pain.
