Ashton Kutcher’s involvement in “Two and a Half Men,” after Charlie Sheen was so unceremoniously fired and his character killed off, was not received well by fans. Even so, he’s still laughing all the way to the bank.

According to Forbes, Kutcher is now the highest paid actor in television with $24 million (€18.4 million), followed by Hugh Laurie, Ray Romano, Alec Baldwin and Mark Harmon hot on his heels.

Considering that Charlie Sheen was once where Kutcher is now, with the same gig, the leading role on “Men,” it’s really not that much of a surprise that Ashton is raking in the big bucks.

Whether he actually cares about what fans think about the direction of the show – which includes plenty of negative stuff, by the way – is an entirely different matter altogether.

Chances are he doesn’t. If you were him and were making so much dough, would you care?
