14 DAY TRIAL // Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are expecting their first child together, and a new report suggests that, if Mila manages to keep her weight during the pregnancy in check, it’s all because of Ashton. Before you give the man a round of applause, though, read through.
According to sources close to the couple, speaking to Radar Online, Ashton has always been very careful about Mila’s diet and workout routine, perhaps even more careful than she is. Now that she’s pregnant, he’s only gotten worse, to the point where he’s “torturing” her by policing her non-stop.
“Ashton has been policing Mila about her pregnancy, diet and workout regime, and sulking when she blows off exercising or juicing with him. Ashton has always been weird about Mila’s diet, even before she became pregnant, but now it’s a whole other level of torture for her,” the tipster explains.
Another source adds that, even if this sounds bad (which it surely does), Ashton means it well: they have known each other for years, after becoming friends on “That ‘70s Show,” and have been close for a very long time, which means that their relationship is not what you’d expect from lovers.
“Ashton is really hard on Mila but it’s also because they have known each other since they were kids. So there has always been a weird, and sometimes mean, brother-sister dynamic to their relationship,” the tipster reveals.
Even with the best intentions at heart, it never does to police a pregnant woman to the point of “torture.” A word of advice is always welcome, but non-stop nagging is not.
It’s enough that women are pressured by society to look a certain way while carrying a child, to look a certain way after delivering said child, and to act a certain way after birth, to not have the partner adds even more pressure with their constant nagging.
So, if any of the above is accurate, Ashton is doing Mila a major disservice, even if he might be telling himself the exact opposite is true. He should just be supportive and be there for Mila during this wonderful experience, take care of her and not make things more difficult for her.
On a happier note, other reports about these two say that they might be tying the knot very soon, right after the baby is born. Mila confirmed the pregnancy in May on an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres, but she would not reveal the due date; still, word has it that she’s about 6 or 7 months along, which means that she might actually get to walk down the aisle this year.
