At the beginning of the month, Star magazine started reporting that Ashton Kutcher was being unfaithful to his wife, Demi Moore, in what prompted a very violent reaction from the two on Twitter.

Now, sources are telling People magazine that, despite Star standing its ground as regards the original story, the two couldn’t be more in love and happy in their marriage.

The latest issue of the glossy mag comes with a cover dedicated to Ashton and Demi, with the caption, “The Real Story: Demi’s marriage under fire.”

While the mag didn’t get either of the two to talk about the rumors, the scandal and their initial desire to sue Star, it did get to speak to reliable (and unnamed) friends of both.

And they promise there is absolutely no trouble in the Kutcher-Moore paradise.

“With tabloid allegations circulating that Kutcher, 32, cheated on Moore, 47, the couple are presenting a united front. On Sept. 18, Kutcher visited Moore on the Michigan set of her film The Reasonable Bunch,” People writes.

“During the visit, a set source says the couple seemed as loving as ever: ‘She gushes over Ashton,’ the source tells People in this week’s cover story. ‘You could hear them laughing in her trailer’,” the mag says in a preview of the issue.

Another source reveals that the two stars are “angry” over the claims printed in Star – so upset, in fact, that they’re instructing their friends not to ask them any questions about the whole scandal.

“But others are not so sure their much-scrutinized age difference hasn’t finally caught up to the couple,” People then writes, suggesting in a very offhand manner that there might be some truth to the claims.

“Somehow I thought it was going to come back to haunt them. He got married young and, as crass as this sounds, never seemed to have his fill. [Still,] they seemed super committed,” another spy is quoted as saying.

As we also reported at the beginning of the month, when Star first came out with the cheating story, Ashton took to his Twitter to vent.

Having a printed publication call him a cheater was libel and he had every reason to sue, the actor said. Demi actually encouraged him to do so, also on Twitter.

Immediately after, Star came out with another issue, again claiming Ashton was cheating – with a different woman this time. Its most recent issue says it contains transcripts and photos of text messages he sent to the woman.
