For the past few days, there has been a lot of talk about actress Ashley Judd's face and how it seems to bear the tell-tale signs of too much fillers and Botox. Her rep is squashing talk of such interventions.

As we also informed you yesterday, while promoting her latest ABC series “Missing,” Judd seemed to have had something done to her face just recently, in that it was very puffy and frozen.

In a statement to E! Online, her rep shoots down talk of an intervention of any kind, saying Ashley's face is swollen because she's been battling a very nasty sinus infection for long.

It's the medicine she's been taking that's making her look so puffy in the face, he insists.

“For the record, this is unequivocally not true. Ashley has been battling an ongoing, serious sinus infection and flu,” the publicist, Cara Tripicchio, says.

“Therefore, Ashley has been on a heavy dose of medication to overcome it so she could get on a plane and travel to Toronto and New York to fulfill her commitment of completing four consecutive days of press to promote her new show Missing,” she adds.

Talk about how the actress has turned to all kinds of interventions to turn back the hands of time is hurtful and untrue.

If anything, she's a naturally beautiful actress who's aging gracefully – unlike what can be said about other women working in the industry right now.

In fact, to prove that, Tripicchio even urges everyone to take a closer look at Ashley's face and see if they can come up with any proof for the claims that she's been getting work done.

“This may have contributed to her face appearing ‘puffy’ on the talk show in Toronto, however anyone who is truly paying attention and not looking to perpetuate a ridiculous story can look online further at photos of her last night during an Apple Store event in NYC and see for themselves that there is zero sign of plastic surgery, puffiness, fillers, etc., that has become a silly and erroneous topic of conversation,” the rep says.

“Ashley is a natural beauty enjoying her 40s gracefully,” Tripicchio adds.
