Report says Ashley Judd and Dario Franchitti are giving their marriage “another shot” after he recovers from crash

Ashley Judd and Dario Franchitti announced their separation in January this year, after 11 years of marriage. In October, Dario was involved in a serious car crash which made Ashley realize that she still wanted to be with him, according to a new report.

Franchitti crashed into a wall during the Houston Grand Prix earlier this month, and was hospitalized immediately with a concussion, two fractured vertebrae, and a broken ankle, for which he went into surgery the next day.

Also the next day, Ashley announced her Twitter followers that she would be flying in to be by Dario’s side, saying she could not imagine being any other place at such a time.

According to the latest in US Weekly, this was when she realized that she loved him too much to let their marriage come apart just like that.

“Ashley Judd has had a change of heart. Sources reveal to Us Weekly that the 45-year-old actress is ready to give her relationship with estranged husband Dario Franchitti another shot,” the report notes.

“They are going to give it another try after he recovers. His accident made her realize how much she loves him,” an insider is quoted as saying.

At the time they announced their decision to separate, Ashley and Judd continued to do their best to keep their relationship out of the tabloids by refusing to name a reason.

Whatever problem they had or still have, they handled it behind closed doors, unlike other celebrities who air all their dirty laundry for whoever is interested to see.

Also then, they said they remained the best of friends and that they would always love, respect, and cherish each other, which is what they still seem to be doing these days, judging by how she rushed to be there for him after the crash.
