Actress and author Ashley Judd was in Canada the other day, taping an appearance on the talkshow The Marilyn Denis Show. Her puffy and frozen appearance has generated a heated online debate about the procedure she might have had done on her face.

In recent years, Ashley seemed to have turned to Botox and fillers to turn back the clock, with varying results.

However, she's never looked this puffy and frozen, voices in the blogosphere are pointing out.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn tells Radar Online that Ashley must have gotten some work done recently, and it's yet to settle in.

There is also the chance she had too much filler injected into her cheeks, which is why she looks so puffy and frozen.

“Ashley Judd's wrinkles are Missing. I am flabbergasted that she appears to have changed her face like this,” Dr. Youn says.

He's never met or treated the star but, based on photos, he believes her altered appearance can't possibly be the result of weight gain.

“I suspect that she's had a good dose of Botox in her forehead to smooth it and injections of fat into her cheeks to plump them up,” he explains for the same publication.

“Ten years ago Ashley had some of the best cheeks in the business. Unfortunately, now they look too puffy. Hopefully they're swollen from a recent treatment and will settle down soon,” Dr. Youn adds.

The Daily Mail also states the same: Ashley Judd had something done to give her the so-called pillow face, which is a term used when someone uses too much filler to plump the face in a bid to eradicate wrinkles.

The British tab adds that, upon landing in Toronto, Ashley looked swollen and red in the face, which could mean she also had some sort of laser peel / treatment as well.

[*Update March 16, 2012]: Ashley Judd's publicist has issued a statement to say whatever "puffiness" was noticeable in her face during the aforementioned interview, was down to medication for a severe sinus infection, not fillers and Botox. Read it here.
