The famous Simpson sisters are still surprised when people ask them if they get along well, due to the fact that they are both singers.

Ashlee and Jessica declared they would never let fame drive any competitive wedge between them, according to Contactmusic.

The sisters have different tastes in music and respect each other's preferences.
The 21-year-old Ashlee would like her music to have more of a rock edge than her pop star older sister Jessica.

"People always ask if there is competition but we are very different people and we just adore each other.
Both of us like each other's music. Jessica told me the other day that she listens to my CD every night before she goes on stage. That was cool.", the "Pieces of Me" singer confessed.

"Ashlee, my mom and I are all best friends.", added the 25-year-old Jessica

The Simpson sisters got into trouble in their youth - for wearing skimpy bikinis to church. The singers, whose father was a pastor, used to go to church in swimsuits and tiny shorts.

"When we were in church work my daughters wore bikinis and short shorts. People in the church got mad at me then, but we believe that what's in the heart is more important than what's on the outside", says Joe Simpson, the minister turned manager, quoted by US gossip website The Scoop.
