Ashlee Simpson Wants To Be The Next Nikita

Ashlee Simpson has always wanted to embrace an acting career. Now, that her sister is famous for playing Daisy Duke in "The Dukes of Hazzard", Ashlee thinks she is ready for a great role of her own.

"I can't wait to do a character that is really out there," said the "Pieces of Me" singer, who recently starred in her most noteworthy film role in the drama "Undiscovered."

"That would be really nice", added Ashlee, who also mentioned her dream role might be that of a lethal, morally ambiguous character along the lines of those in some of her favorite movies.

" 'La Femme Nikita,' the original, the French version is one of my favorites; or like an Alabama from 'True Romance.' [That] would be cool.", Ashlee said.

Meanwhile, the singer is preparing foe her guest appearance on "Saturday Night Live" and is anxious to party as she will be soon 21.
