Ashlee Simpson Is Jealous of Jessica, Will Have a Baby for Press

Now that Jessica Simpson is getting increased press for her engagement announcement and she’s proved to the entire world that she’s a savvy businesswoman which, in turn, is getting her more media, sister Ashlee is feeling jealous.

A new report cited by Faded Blog suggests that Ashlee is so upset that Jess is again in every paper and everywhere she goes that she has come to the decision that, indeed, desperate times DO call for desperate actions.

So, she’s having another baby. Sources reportedly close to the singer and actress say that she’s decided to become pregnant again to get some attention from the US media as well.

“Ashlee’s career isn’t going anywhere right now, and she hates that Jessica always gets more press than she does — even more so following her engagement to Eric,” says the unnamed spy.

“She thinks having another baby will help her land some magazine covers and thrust her back into the spotlight,” the same insider explains.

However, if any of the above is true, Ashlee is acting the exact opposite of how Jessica behaved when she was booted from the new “Melrose Place” on CW, amidst reports that she was being quite a diva despite not even being able to act.

As we also informed you at the time, shortly after Ashlee’s stint on the show came to an end, Jessica took to her Twitter to say the show was dumb and that, at the end of the day, Ashlee was better off without it.

“CW catching up on MP,” Jessica tweeted. “Who writes this [rubbish]? i have had bad scripts to work with, but this? thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press,” she tweeted.

It was November 2009 and, in the meantime, it seems the sibling rivalry between the two is again picking up speed – if one is to believe reports.
