14 DAY TRIAL // Ashlee Simpson may have found love again and, according to ongoing tabloid reports, she didn’t even have to look far for it: she is dating music diva Diana Ross’ son Evan, it has emerged.
The two have been friends for years but, as of late, they’ve been photographed together quite a lot, often holding hands and acting as if they were more than friends.
“The 24-year-old son of Motown music legend Diana Ross was spotted out and about with the 28-year-old pop star in Hollywood on Monday night,” the New York Daily News writes.
“The duo hung out at the Sunset Marquis Hotel and was seen leaving hand-in-hand before stopping at Teddy's at the Roosevelt Hotel and staying at the nightclub until about 1:30 am,” adds the same media outlet.
Later on, they were seen grabbing “lunch together Tuesday in West Hollywood after they were spotted leaving a mutual friend's home that morning,” the publication further says.
However, one insider insists that fans and the media should not jump to conclusions about them because chances are good they’re still just friends.
“Evan and Ashlee have been friends for a really long time, probably 10 years. They know each other from the club scene and have tons of mutual friends,” the spy explains.
While not much is known of 24-year-old Evan as far as celebrity hookups go, Ashlee’s love life has been intensely documented in the press.
She was married to Pete Wentz for 3 years, until 2011. They have an adorable boy together, named Bronx.
More recently, Simpson dated Vincent Piazza, who stars in the critically successful “Boardwalk Empire.” The relationship lasted for a year and a half, and they broke up last November.
If reports that Ashlee is now dating Evan are accurate, we assume we’ll find out soon.
