It takes an extraordinary voice to do justice to any of the tracks Whitney Houston sang and made famous but, luckily, Ashanti has it. Above is her tribute to Whitney on Good Morning America.

The singer, rocking a skintight leotard and braids, sang Whitney's “I Have Nothing” while photos of the late diva played in the background.

Ashanti ended the very touching number by singing just one line from “I Will Always Love You,” and saying a few words in the behalf of all the mourning fans throughout the world.

“Rest in peace, Whitney. We love you,” Ashanti said.

Whitney Houston died this weekend. She was just 48 and, without a doubt, one of the most influential and loved artists of our times.
