Ashampoo released today a new product designed to help you retrieve information about music files that do not have metadata to rely on for identification.

The application can pull the cover art and ID3 tags using multiple online resources based on fingerprint technology from Acoustid and last.fm. As such, no information is required from the user to compare and identify the audio file.

Once the item has been identified Ashampoo MP3 Cover Finder uses online databases from Amazon, Bing, Discogs, Google, iTunes, and MusicBrainz to retrieve the information.

It supports MP3 and M4A audio data, and the company touts that the details are compatible with every media player programs on the market, as well as hardware devices (computers, mobile devices, mp3 players, etc.).

Ashampoo MP3 Cover Finder is available for download on this page.
