Sometimes, high-end audio gear might not be enough. Top-drawer sound with tremendous character and a precise, crispy punch is, of course, what audiophiles have always been after, but in certain cases a stronger touch of luxury might be exactly what has been missing. And for these cases the world-famous loudspeaker and pro-audio manufacturer Ascendo has created the Gold Edition, a limited series of speakers that's as stunning as it is good-looking.

The Ascendo Gold Edition speakers build on the acclaimed high standards of the brand are ready to fill your residence with a top-notch acoustic response, pleasing the most demanding of all ears.

Yet, as you take a look at these speakers, their exclusive and imperial image will surely leave you speechless, at least for the first minutes. Their cabinets have been covered with gold using the poliment-gilding technology, and are standing tall as striking pieces of contemporary art. While this involves hand-crafting, the details on these wonderful speakers are flawless, and will add serious richness to any setting.

Besides this limited Gold Edition, Ascendo is also preparing platinum and silver finishes to suit more tastes and home decors. Even more, they've perfected a special technique to embed graphic elements into the piano lacquer of the loudspeakers, and thus create some truly amazing designs that can withstand the passing of time without losing any of their royal air.

There is no word on the pricing for these stunning speakers, though no one should expect anything but a very expensive offer. Things aren't different on the tech side, either, as no specs have yet been released. Nevertheless, as it seems that the Ascendo Gold Edition is based on the Z-F3 model, we're entitled to believe that the gilded version sports the same high-grade ribbon tweeter, with HPC and Kevlar diaphragms for the other drivers. As well, single/bi and tri-amping should be available for this 5 Ohms speaker, which can run at min 500W program power rating, with an 89.5 dB sensitivity. Finally, “handcrafted in Germany” should give you a pretty good hint of the price class.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
