AGEOD, a company focusing on the development of hardcore strategy games, seems to be ready to take over the world with some quality titles since, following the announcement of Birth of America II, it went public with the development of World War One, a historically accurate TBS (turn based strategy) game for PC only. Set to be released this November by Ascaron Entertainment, it promises to be one of the best TBS games of the year.

World War One allows you to command one of the six Great nations and try to restore peace in Europe. Of course, we're going to do that as we like it most - by means of war! This means that you can take on the role of Kitchener, Joffre, Luddendorf, Clemenceau, Czar Nicholas II or Enver Pasha and develop a strategy to avoid defeat in the First World War. Of course, all the necessary tools for a flawless victory are included in the game, but it will be up to you to identify them and employ them accordingly.

In the game, you will have to command both land and sea units, take crucial decisions that can change the fate of the war (such as hiring the most appropriate generals, investing in weapons research or timely deployment of reserves) and enjoy the accuracy and depth of detail implemented by the developers.

However, the war itself won't be your only concern - you'll have to decide how to handle the Press, manage the public opinion and start mind battles against your enemies to destroy their morale. Political actions (like the deployment of diplomatic envoys to recruit neutral countries) could broaden the scope of the war, whilst tipping the balance of power in your favor. All this means that winning the World War One will not be an easy task but success will be very rewarding.
