ArtistX 1.3 Screenshot Tour

ArtistX 1.3, a Ubuntu-based distribution that aims to enable artists and creators from a number of fields to work via a live and free environment, was released a few days ago.

ArtistX 1.3 is based on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and contains most of the available free audio, 2D and 3D graphics, and video software for the GNU/Linux computing platform.

Software included in ArtistX 1.3:

• 2D Graphic Software: Gimp, Inkscape, Nip2, Krita, Synfig, Rawstudio, Skencil, Hugin;
• 3D Graphic softwares: Blender, Wings3D, K3D;
• Video applications: Cinelerra, Openshot, Kino, Kdenlive, Pitivi, Avidemux, Devede;
• Video and Music players: Mplayer, Videolan, Xine, Kaffeine, Kmplayer, LastFM.

The distribution also comes with Linux kernel 3.0.0-15, GNOME 3 and KDE 4.8, and over 2,500 multimedia packages. More details can be found in the official announcement.
