Yomico Moreno is a tattoo artist from Caracas, Venezuela, specializing in realistic tattoos that imitate bionic arms, stitching that reveals organs, genetically modified organisms etc.

According to the Daily Mail, Moreno first became interested in tattoo art when he was just 14. Like a surrealistic painter, he adds shadows, texture and dimension to his canvas and creates a hyper-realistic effect.

He often depicts flesh torn off arms, revealing muscles and bones. Sometimes that imagery is combined with robotic elements, giving the effect of bionic arms or legs.

His art can be considered grotesque, terrifying, surreal or simply awesome. It is all, as the saying goes, in the eye of the beholder.
